Bonjour Carmen!! Comment allez vous? Thanks for your clever observations on my painting. You're right, it's a very 50s classic, Shirley Temple pose. I painted this little watercolour because I thought it would appeal to my client who commissioned me to paint her daughter (who has blonde hair and blue eyes).
